- that you can learn everything and be acceptable if you are interested in your subject and pay attention. (Diana)
- to keep on improving my writing each time even if you have an A on your essay (anonymous).
- that Abraham Lincoln wrote short speeches and there are a lot of good authors out there (Dennis).
- writing an essay can be fun (Jacob).
- that short stories have more meaning than what they show. (Lesley)

One question I still have is
- What are we reading next semester? (Kimberly)
- What's the next story we read going to be about? (Lazaro)
- What are we doing next semester? (Milagros, Michelle)
- How I managed to get through this semester? (Katherine)
- Will we be writing more autobiographical essays or was that the only one? (Maria)
What helped me learn best is
- by reading stories and then watching the film about it. This really helped me to visualize and picture the events of the story. For example, for my essay on the Odyssey I was able to do a better job because I saw the Cyclops and the settings which helped me to write a more interesting essay that could entertain the reader (Jennifer).
- working in groups and watching a movie of the story that we read in class (Jadine).
- the fact that after reading we would watch a movie (Victoria).
- going back and remembering the moments that are important in my life (Jaila).
- my parents reminding me to do my best (Noe).
